Surprised no one has commented on the Reddit research proving FSU was ineligible for bowls this year because Delaware State fell below the 90% 2 year scholarship requirement to count as a countable win. Appears UTSA got the raw deal as Buffalo (6-6) & WMU (6-6) also lose out on the same rule.
It's too late to do anything about it this year but I think it does bring in to question how often has this happened in the past and since it's been brought to light, do you think it impacts scheduling FCS schools in advance who could possibly not count as a win for Bowl eligibility? Pitt normally schedules against pretty solid FCS opponents when they do play them, but I would hope they write some type of penalty clause in to future contracts if it could impact something as significant as this.
