Ok St's skilled players are top tier. I don't know if we can keep them below 40 so.....

Panthers - 44
Cowboys - 40

Max has his coming out game!

41-31 OSU. 1 special teams or defensive TD. Ollison runs for 2. Weah catches 1.

7.5 fans call for Watson to be fired and Browne to be benched before end of 1st quarter when we are down 13-3.

PITT 41, OkieState 38
Hopefully this is the game that we figure out the redzone...

PITT is due! They've failed to score TDs on 5 of 9 trips inside of the red zone, with 3 of those failures in the PSU game (not to beat the dead horse, but that game was much closer than many would want to believe). Hand the ball to Moss or Davis and let them power behind the left side of the OL until it doesn't work. Stop with the jet sweep to Henderson, QB option (who the hell thinks Browne is running with the ball), etc.

OKST 45
PITT 23
Don't see us being able to defend the Pokes passing game one bit. And Kessman will miss an extra point...

Pitt 34
OK ST 31

I am predicting this based on Narduzzi getting a clue after we go down early and then he pulls Browne for DiNucci.

I wish I could make two predictions, because if Browne isn't pulled early, it will be an ugly loss for Pitt. But I posted my hopeful prediction.

OSU 45
Pitt 35

I just don't have faith in our secondary to stop that huge receiver even if we double team him and not leave corners on an island like promised. Pray I'm wrong but don't see a W

I'll give you two alternative scores.

IF Narduzzi plays our typical base defense most of the game:

OSU: 48
Pitt: 21

If Narduzzi adapts and plays at least 5 DB's most of the game:

OSU: 34
Pitt: 24

37-27 Oklahoma St.

If Pitt can manage to get by Georgia Tech next week there's a lot of winnable games coming after that. Hopefully put together a streak of 4-5 in a row.

Pitt sits on the ball to relatively hold the Pokes offense in check, but still OSU 31-20. Glad to see this series end. There's only 1 Big 12 team I want Pitt to schedule, and it's not a team located in Texas/Midwest.

For those of you that have Pitt scoring 30 points or more....what have you seen so far that possibly could back this up?

Receivers cant hold on to the ball, Offense cant score in the red zone. This one is going to get out of hand early.

40-17 Pokes

Running game is going to gash them badly. The sweeps and dives that play off one another is working well. Not sure how good of a passing game there will be since Pitt has trouble protecting the quarterback and catching the ball.

If Aston is back this week, which seemed like a possibility(?), the running game should gain a solid boost with his ability to block and run over defenders when needed. The right side of the line was getting destroyed at times (both Bookser and JJS) last weekend, which forced PITT to run left if they wanted to have a positive play. Jet sweeps are effective if both the riight and left sides of the line are playing well. If everything is forced to one side, the "surprise" factor is eliminated allowing the defense to tee-off on the runner; which is what we saw against PSU last week.

Additionally, Matthews is not seeing nearly enough time on the field. It seems like he is brought in on 3rd downs, but is not being utilized near enough. Everytime Matthews is on the field he either makes the catch, or provides excellent blocks for the RB, WR, etc. to run behind. Q. Henderson and Araujo-Lopes are not getting it done in the blocking game, which is expected given their size.

Running game??

Pitt's best player was bottled up last week and is not 100% healthy this week.

This simply is not a good matchup for this year's Pitt team.

Care to elaborate? Ollison had a better ypc average than Barkley last week.

He looked ok after it looked like he suffered some sort of shot to his ribs.

Sure.....

The best player on the field is their wr

Our best player on offense is hurt. Our best player on defense is out.

After watching their first two games it is almost undeniable they will score at least five times. Pitt will have no choice but to throw the ball which if anyone has been paying attention has not gone well for the Panthers.

As such, this is not a good matchup and I expect Pitt to get waxed.

That said, I think Pitt goes to Atlanta and beats Georgia Tech.

But tomorrow the Panthers are in for a long day.
