- OL is definitely getting better
- RBs had some vision today, take away the fumble and Pitt probably wins comfortably and there would be very little to complain about regarding their performance
- Aaron Mathews is the selfless, solid veteran who got rewarded for his dedication today in spades. A good team needs an Aaron Mathews or three
- Pickett still has a lot of improvement to make on his footwork but everything else about his game is solid or very close to solid. Decision-making, not turning the ball over, leadership, toughness, vision, backyard football playmaking ability, etc. He is throwing it to the right guy way more often. Unfortunately footwork is a very big thing and the main reason he is missing the throw to the right guy more than should be happening but I think he'll get there
- The secondary stiffened up after Coleman and Williams gave up a few and when it was Jackson-Pinnock-Mathis they shut down UCF's receivers almost entirely. Hope Damarri and Jason heal up good and quick. Damar had a quiet monster game. And...
- Paris Ford has the energy this team needed. And he's far from the only one providing it
- These LBs are fast, strong, hungry, and mean about it
- The DL is the best unit on the team beating out the secondary by a hair. UCF had the ball for 24 minutes and change. For 20 or so of those minutes, the Pitt DL - starters, backups, anybody they put in there - abused the UCF offensive line, QB, and RB. Relentlessly
If some guys need to not play so much next week so they can get healed up for the ACC run, fine. But go out there and blow Delaware into the river. Don't let up. The last two weeks have built some serious momentum for the defense and the offense built some for itself today, keep building it
