Actually, he did.
The fumble pass on the break by Luther... his lone mistake of the night... came with the score 58-58.
Pitt has eight point lead and Dixon subs out Luther at a dead ball. 30 seconds later there is a 3 minute commercial break. Louisville hits three, Pitt offense does nothing, Luther sits on bench. Louisville trims it to 3, Pitt turns ball over. Luther still on bench now with over 7 minutes of actual rest. Pitt does nothing on offense again, Louisville hits 3 to tie it, Luther still on bench, next dead ball, Dixon subs him back in and Luther scores. Brilliant Jamie.
2 minutes left, Pitt down three, Pitt runs nothing on offense and jacks three up at buzzer, team is in disarray but gets offensive rebound. Robinson does not know what to do, no set play, they didn't even run the stupid weave, they just screwed around and Robinson throws one up off the glass with a minute to play. With a critical possession, USE A TIMEOUT!!!
Louisville gets rebound, up 3 with a minute to play. What does Pitino do? CALLS A TIME OUT TO RUN A SET PLAY. Dunk, game over.
