I know we are all hoping for a week 2 visit but recognize that it is unlikely because of the game being played at a racetrack.

But if I wanted to take any potential positive from this, gameday likes the college atmosphere. Going to a pro stadium holding a neutral game followed by a racetrack?

OK, I know I am grasping at straws here, but ..."so you're saying there's a chance."

It would be nice but probably unlikely. They'll most likely have 150k people at that game and it's the first time they ever did that so I'd imagine that's where they will be.
If both us and penn state were ranked I would say a chance.
Let's hope for the best.

I say a really low chance but with a non traditional opener, would gameday do that 2 weeks in a row. The obvious counter is the 150k might be too much to pass up. Plus they can add the Nascar angle

The thing hurting us now is nobody really cares about Pitt/PSU unless your a Pitt or nitter fan. it's a huge rivalry game to both teams, but that's it. Hopefully we can attract the casual fans in the future like before.

They typically don't do game day for noon kickoffs anyways

I don't have the statistic in front of me. I know they have done noon games if they want. Corso firing the boomer sooner gun for the red River rivalry comes to mind.

Gameday goes where the story is regardless of the time

So you have the stats? Because I would not know as the only time I watch are days pitt is away.

If Tennessee or VT lose in Week 1, Gameday will probably be at Pitt. Tennessee plays App St and VT has a new coach and a new offense vs a decent 1-AA team, Liberty. That game reminds me of Chryst vs YSU a little.

They have done noon games, majority are later though.

If Pitt/Penn State doesn't get Gameday, I think Pitt/OK State could get it the next week if Pitt wins and both teams come in undefeated.

You're telling me that the majority of game days aren't for 4pm or night games?

No. The majority are for 3:30 games or later, but that's because, the best games are usually 3:30 or later.

Gameday will be going to Bristol, but that has nothing to do with the Pitt kickoff time

Over Oregon vs Nebraska, Florida State @Louisville, and Michigan State at Notre Dame???? NOT.A.CHANCE.

Umm.....Pitt @ OKST wouldn't even rank as the best game in Central Oklahoma that day. A team from Columbus plays in Norman.
