I think an obvious problem with our QB selection both this year and last is we are selecting players that may be good practice players but are not gamers. The difference is really stark after having Kenny Pickett who was the ultimate gamer. PJ and CV may have all the measurables and can spin it in in practice but cannot duplicate it in game situations. I also think Pitt protects the QBs far too much in practice’s partly because of Narduzzi’s paranoia about injuries and therefore they can’t determine if the QBs can perform in game situations.
The dominating rule in todays football is either you have a QB or you do not. Obviously Pitt does not. Pitt must change how they evaluate QBs because however they are doing it isn’t working.
