Gandy to Indiana

Indiana benefits from the efforts of OSU and PSU. And ND keeps their money.

Remind me why they are allowed to do what they do with the ACC.

Yawn .....He was okay...... nothing to cry about. After Addison I'm pretty numb to the transfer stuff. If they stay let's play if they go move along the show.

He played about every down....

We assumed we were going to lose him some overspending boss program or maybe somewhere close to home. Nope, Indiana Hoosiers!

They actually have quite a bit of NIL money, from what I’ve read; almost $14m next year.

Letting lapped by a bottom feeding B1G team.
I get it they were good this year, but a lot of things lined up for them.

We have a small donor base and no big whale donors.

Weird how a guy turns his head twice in 2 years when everybody is calling “ball” and gets 100k to do it.

And then he can get broken and still be paid of off potential. Hope they don’t read this

Weird guy walking on the street. My friends mom called him out. The Real dads gave him a new neighborhood in a different state.

Wonder what a guy like this gets on the open market from someone like Indiana. He apparently visited UNC, UM and Ole Miss along with IU.

Decent player in his first year getting significant PT with 2 years left. Had his ups and downs, but a guy I'd rather have than not. But at what cost?

You're not wrong, but I suspect they put a value on him that he felt he could do better than or maybe he was disgruntled about his usage? Either way I'm not losing sleep over these college kids every year is like a 1 year deal for them. If they play well they want more, if they play poorly don't ask them to take less.

They were top 15 in NIL this past season.

0% chance that's true. Bud Elliot said something to the effect of them piecing together $5M for 2024, which was good for them. Not sure if that was an extra $5M after Cignetti was hired or in total. But they wouldn't have had ten guys from JMU starting if that had top 15 NIL money.

Indiana literally bought their way to the top of B1G last year. By your logic, Indiana lapped all but 1 B1G team as well.

I don't think Indiana football magically got some big investment this past season. Since it's all the wild west and everything is private/unknown there is no way of really knowing.

My point was the current system is frustrating as a school like Pitt with a small donor base is getting lapped by these typical bottom feeder programs with larger fan bases/mega donors.

It's was reportly over $13mil last season so that probably was another $5 mil.
