While there's much talk about GDG's shooting slump, what he's been doing in transition over the past few games has me scratching my head.
He's been running to the corner (or sometimes deep wing) when he's actually the FIRST ONE TRAILING or at even with a ball handler. The result is that instead of having an easy distribution to a big man (GDG) for a layup or dunk, the ball handler penetrates at a disadvantage and has to make a difficult shot or impossible pass because GDG is so far away.
I get it that his role has been to be a 3-pt threat within offensive sets, but it seems that some easy transition opportunities have been missed.
