I'm old enough to have been at the Pitt-Oklahoma game played at Pitt Stadium in 1971. That was my first experience watching The Masters of the Wishbone.

Yeah, Pitt lost that game, 55-29, but those 29 points were the most that anyone scored against the Sooners - until they lost that great game with Nebraska, 35-31, when #1 beat #2.

Dave The Mouse Havern threw 4 TD's, I think.....after Mildren & Co. ran up 55 points. The Sooners played walk-ons & 3 of Switzer's girlfriends in the 4th quarter.

I remember marching down the field and kicking a FG to start the game. Unfortunately, the rules required that we had to kick-off after scoring. For all I know, Joe Wylie might still be running.
