I know everyone is excited about being 6-1. This is a first year coach. This won't happen over night. It will take time.. Back off the ledge. This guy will get it done, but it won't be today! I know you have heard that 20 times. But it's reality .. The big wins will come.

Without Conner, this probably should have been a 4-8 team. The schedule is the toughest we've had in many years. Lets get to 7-5, maybe 8-4. 8-4 would be a minor miracle.
People act like some magical coach will ride in on their white horse and "coach 'em up" or "maximize talent" or whatever other catch phrase they use that basically asserts that you can somehow win big without great talent. If you can't recruit elite, you can be elite.
We are really short on talent in a lot of areas and its just now getting exposed. That said, UNC has several issues too. Pitt can clean some things up and make this much more competitive game. Tackling better would be a great start.
Gotta love Narduzzi's competitiveness though. You can see how much losing kills this guy. The program is in great hands.

I agree with your premise. What this game shows is that Narduzzi needs to seriously upgrade the talent in order to really play the way he wants to. Need more talent at CB and Safety. Need LBs who can run and shed blocks. Better pass rush too.
We'll get there but this game is a real reality check.
