Gibbs to UConn (for real this time)

Now we get to see if Dixon is able to do anything with that open scholly.

And the pickings are slim this time of year.

If he can't find anyone (particularly a guard) maybe he will keep Uchebo for another year.

Unless he has had some dramatic improvement in his physical condition, why would Uchebo want to come back and go through another season of being unable to play?

Uchebo probably would have no problem playing another year. Hey, walk-ons do it and they don't even get a scholly for it.

I see this as only a possibility if Dixon cannot find some decent player out there.

Better than letting the scholly go open... just barely better but would give us some more depth at C.

By all accounts, as the season went on, his knee became more and more of a problem, which I assume means more painful, and he could not play. If he could not play last year, why on earth would he subject himself to more of the same this coming year? If he is physically unable to play, what depth does he provide? Walk-one can at least play if needed - Joe could not.

We had a guy on campus this weekend, not sure where all this "leave the schollie open" talk is coming from.
