So there are three Gibbs brothers connected to our program.
1) Ashton--Often seen in Oakland. He has voiced his desire to break into coaching. He has been telling people who he knows that he will be on the staff next season. My question is, if he is--how do the dominos fall?
2) Sterling--He will be a fifth year player-able to transfer for his final season if he desires. He seems to be a good fit for what this team needs but he obviously had problems with teammates at Seton Hall. Not sure anyone knows exactly what was going on inside that locker room, but he wasn't exempt for at least some less than desirable off the court contributions. A big part of me feels that this has a strong likelihood of happening.
3) TJ--looks to be a very good prospect for our program. Getting a bunch of offers. I guess my biggest question is adding him and Sterling to a team that will potentially have their brother on the staff. There may always be that perception of nepotism inside the program with other player who feel deserving of their "shot", and also potential for top recruits on the outside thinking the same thing. I have never been a fan of such things.
Just not sure how I feel about all of this. Anyone have thought?
