I really enjoy teams that recruit players that are thought to be “2nd class citizens”, renegades, JUCO failures and/or other diminishing characteristics. It’s a major reason I loved Huggs before he came to WVU and also why I have always loved Kelvin Sampson, Jerry Tarkanian, etc.

These guys are junkyard dogs. They are usually insanely lengthy, very athletic, can or cannot shoot and they play with insane enthusiasm and effort. These are the sorts of players that aren’t soft and can allow verbal bashing ricochet off of them and allow for internal improvement.

Go Cougs (or Razorbacks) and f*** off Duke and UNC. It would be a big f*** you to the NCAA elite, CBS and Jim Nantz. They wouldn’t know what to do if they couldn’t suck Coach K, Izzo or Roy Williams.

These pick-up teams are really bad for the sport. The whole free transfer thing is bad for the sport. I can't root for a bunch of guys who started their career somewhere, faced some adversity and instead of dealing with it, portal'd to Musselman or Sampson.

Pitt is the same as Arkansas, WVU, Bama (in hoops), NCState, Houston, etc.

You aren’t (and never have been) in the same club as Jim Nantz, Grant Hill, and the powers that choose to suck certain brands for the sake of chasing the almighty dollar.

Damn shame that Coach K, and his inferior coaching ability, got past Tech last night.

And don’t get me started with Houston. A team that literally should’ve been a 2 seed (3 at absolute worst but that would’ve been an injustice too). They’re a -2.5 favorite over Jay Wright and Nova (the best coach in the country and a helluva program). So awesome that the committee and CBS will be steaming that Houston is still playing.

It’s going to be an absolute privilege to watch Jay Wright and Kelvin Sampson battle it out tomorrow. Talk about coaching elite.

I expect Muss to lap K in coaching but not sure if it’ll be enough. The talent difference matters a ton.
