Gods team is not notre dame it's uconn

No, if they were God's team they wouldn't be stuck in that God forsaken conference. Nor should they be. ACC has dropped the ball with them (IMO).

Not over any of them but kick out someone. UConn is the most accomplished team in the NCAA this century. Outside of geography what does wake forest add? Also BC used to be relevant in football and hoops but they just suck in everything nowadays(I get TV market but really as a fan who cares). I love football but I'm a hoops first guy and would love to see UConn in the acc. Pitt UConn in the early mid 2000s was the best spectator event going.

That was perhaps the worst 36 minutes of offensive basketball in history. Certainly for UConn. But hey, that's why UConn consistently recruits guards who can score and create their own shots - because come crunch time, that's what you need.

Since I live here and Pitt's opponents are far more interesting than UConn's these days, I watch a lot of games (plus wife is one of y'all) even getting to the Pete on occasion. So just once I'd like to see Pitt recruit a true PG who can score at will. Seems like it's been a decade without one.

If you Google "Pitt buzzer beater" you have to go halfway down the third page of results (and 2010) to find a link where Pitt wasn't the victim. Even RMU gets a mention before Pitt.

In contrast, UConn has had a wealth of riches since 1990 or so.

You and everybody here, pal. You can't have an elite team without elite guard play. And I'm not talking simply 9/1 assist turnover ratio. I'm talking points and leadership when it matters most.

You really think the ACC is going to kick out a Carolina team?

Expansion was/is about markets and football. UConn brought neither.
End of story.

If UCONN were God's team, they wouldn't be playing in the American.

Once this group of players is done, UCONN is going to have trouble maintaining their success.

Because Kevin Ollie is as good as gone after this season, and their athletic department budget and conference situation is going to make it difficult to hire a top replacment.

The slow unwind of UConn is going to happen over the next 5-7 years.

Well, you got one reason right. Had you said "football and football markets", then you might've had two right.

New England is not a college football market and likely never will be. No one team will ever own the NYC Metro market. So if you're going to have a presence there, you'd better want solid hoops and hockey. Guess what team brings in the most eyeballs across all sports. Hint: It's not BC. Not by a longshot.

The best add to all the athletic programs the ACC could make would be the UConn women'sBB program. Can't think of a single, better team for visibility that is available to the Power 5.

I find myself missing the Big East this weekend. And in the dance, I watched all the Big East teams. Don't feel that way yet about the ACC. Accordingly, I find myself rooting for all the old Big East teams. Go UConn.

It was never going to be about hoops. The fact that Kansas was looking like it was going to get kicked to the curb when the B12 was hanging by a thread, tells you all you need to know.

BC was the school that pushed the hardest for Pitt. Duke also.
