Well, Pitt is missing winning the ACC Coastal by 5 points now? This is an improvement over last year with a far tougher Schedule, and can live with it. Still, the Pitt Players are dedicated to playing and no off the field problems. Coaches are still working hard and not giving up making themselves, their Team Mates and Team better. It is a downer losing 3 games by 11 Points, but no Blow Out so far, and Players can hold their heads high as well as Pitt Fans. Pitt DLs, DBs and LBs still working hard and coming up short but no one can doubt their intensity to do better even in defeat. There are Recruits and Players in the Pipeline and Pitt needs more and will get them. I am very proud of these Coaches, Players, & Team! So Little Done So Much More To Do!
EXCERPTS:

“Everybody knows that the Coastal is open,” Pitt running back James Conner said. “We needed this one to get to the championship.”
Instead, the No. 25 Hokies handed a Pitt a deflating 39-36 defeat Thursday night, one in which the Panthers' pass defense was exposed before an ESPN national television audience. Virginia Tech (6-2, 4-1) moved into a first-place tie with North Carolina (6-2, 4-1) in the Coastal, while Pitt (5-3, 2-2) is now in third.
“Obviously,” Narduzzi said, “it was a disappointing loss.”..............
“Our corners were in position to make plays,” Narduzzi said. “You have to make one.”
That doesn't count two pass-interference penalties called against Pitt defensive backs, both of which occurred near the Pitt sideline and had Narduzzi going ballistic on the officials.

This one could have been worse. Much worse. Virginia Tech was 9 for 9 in the red zone, but settled for six field goals.
“We gave up some yardage,” Narduzzi said. “That could've been 80 points, if they scored touchdowns.
