Gotta love Narduzzi!!!!

Maybe, just maybe, he should spend less time acting like a jaghole on the sideline and more time using his defensive wizardry to adjust his secondary coverage. He's on the verge of blowing another possible win by being a stubborn SOB.

He is acting appropriately they were getting screwed there. It's better now.

By the way, we have a DC

It's awesome seeing the future come. I'm psyched seeing Hamlin out there. And seeing how Vtech corners play it's clear we can have that defense soon.

Course I picked us to lose so I expected this one, peterman isn't the qb that can put a team on his back and win. That's our only chance today.

And then he drives the ball 95 yards . :)

And narduzzi gets that review. Definitely a few feet over spotted but probably a first down

Well it was clearly before the yellow line according to replay

Honestly I wasn't sold on him when we hired him, seemed too rah rah for me, but I definitely like his enthusiasm and determination. He knows his scheme works on championship levels and is going to make it work here

...a good effort - just ran out of time...

...the last drive, primarily the passing game , showed how rapidly the game can narrow... but they killed the clock by about 6 inches...

Isn't Narduzzi supposed to be a defensive minded coach? some of the offenses you guys have played are solid don't get me wrong (UNC, OK State are above avg.& VaTech is average) but you guys give up 35-45 points to virtually everyone besides fcs Villanova; even 27 to Marshall. So my question is: did Narduzzi inherit a team with such poor talent and that is why the defense is so awful or is it a matter of there being some talent there, but not necessarily the right kind of talent for what he wants to do schematically? Your Oline and running game plays tough hard nosed football and can score quite efficiently despite your lack of much of a vertical passing game. Your defense on the other hand can't stop the pass or run and just looks plain soft. You've got at least one top notch play maker in your secondary that's young, surprised there's no upperclassmen that have developed to at least be respectable. It's not like you guys have recruited like Temple or Rutgers, you get mostly hard nosed mid-tier 3 star recruits from the WPIAL and Eastern Ohio mixed in with a few blue chippers every year so automatically you have more upperclassmen and depth than PSU and just as much if not more talent than a Wisconsin or Iowa bring in every year. Lack of elite speed and play makers across the board is understandable despite having 1 or 2 blue chip players on the roster that are, did you guys just miss on all the d lineman and LB's you have recruited the last 2-4 years or what? Also, I know weather was bad, but how come only 10-15 K at what was actually a pretty big ACC divisional game? What else did students have to do? Game was over by 10ish so no excuse, you need a new coach and a new on campus stadium to attract fans to games and thus recruits to team.

Honestly, I stopped with the lack of paragraphs. But thanks for stopping by!

If this experiment doesn't work, Pitt is going to have to pay up for a PROVEN head coach

I get you love Pitt and I'll read your post later when I have to sleep, but vtech is having statistically their best offensive season in their history. Do we have defense issues??? Yes!! Is it narduzzi!? Of course not, it's like Bill Walsh playing his system with Cliff Stoudt, or navy using Dan Marino as their qb.

Relax, oh nitwit, we will continue to rule you for years

Good point, runs a defense built on great corners and we have below average ones. Puts them on an island to shine and makes the qb make great throws and the wr make plays to beat us. We have some great performances against us but lots has to do just with lack of talent for this awesome scheme

borderline embarrassing imo. Enough with the drama. Hell, if I were a ref I would have thrown about twenty pass interference flags against Pitt last night. Jumping around and screaming does nothing except make you look foolish.

Bologna, it was awesome. We were getting screwed and he let them have it. And the flags stopped being thrown so it was effective.

He was passionate, jumped around and screamed when he had to

If you enjoy watching your coach make a complete jackass out of himself, then I'd say it was a very successful night from that perspective.

As far as the refs are concerned, I thought they were consistently inconsistent. And there was certainly no biased one way or the other.....they were just flat out horrible.

Well, of course you feel that way Mr 3 post on pantherliar and many post on other sites.

I remember this board blowing up on Chryst for not getting at all emotional or yelling at refs. I personally love Narduzzi's style, and I think the team feeds off it also. He is right, they were pushing off nearly every play. Not once was it called. And the one where the guy climbed our guys back was absolutely horrendous.... absolutely 100% sure offensive pass interference on 3rd and 12, and they called a defense interference for our guy getting raped. First down, and they scored a TD that drive after. I am happy Narduzzi didnt punch the official after that.

He made a jack ass out of no one. Not even close. Jesus, if a coach cant argue against bad calls, what on earth should he do?

Love the competitiveness, don't like the way he acted last night. Narduzzi is the guy no doubt and he wants win more than anyone, but he needs to tone down his actions on the sidelines a little bit. I mentioned this in another thread but the Pitt fan behind me last night mentioned Brian Kelly after the Aston PI call and outburst. That's the last guy we need our head coach being compared to. It's one thing to be fired up and fighting for your players, but when you become a punchline and observers point fingers it needs to be toned back a bit.

No doubt he is the right guy , please explain that ? Cause I'm not sure at this point if he is or not, and can't see how any of us could say either way

100% correct

Glad you are a realist and not someone who carries water just to protect bad behavior. I agree with you
