Gotta love Narduzzi!!!!

He displayed the same behavior, our hypocritical fans scream about Kelly, agree?

No... dont agree. And I never complained about Kelly's behavior, or Jim Harbaugh, who is much more animated than is Narduzzi. He displays the opposite behavior as our hypocrital 'fans' screamed negatively about Paul Chryst.

There's "arguing calls" and there's "going absolutely berzerk-bat shit crazy". Narduzzi was the latter. IMO, you make your point and keep making your point to the officials if need be....without screaming constantly. At some point the officials are gonna tune him out and the constant badgering becomes unproductive.

As far as the receivers pushing off "every play", maybe the pushing was in response to the constant grabbing of their jerseys. There were multiple slow motion replays showing your DB's with a hand full of jersey as the ball is in the air. Your DB's were overmatched and they were doing whatever they had to do to keep the receivers from catching the ball.

Like I said in a previous post, the officials were horrible. If they would've established what is and what isn't PI (offensive or defensive) in the beginning of the game, it wouldn't have developed into the mess it became in the second half. But to think Pitt somehow got screwed by the officials is homerism at its best. And Narduzzi was the biggest homer, cry baby of the night.

They can't handle the TOOTH, I meant the truth. Whatever happens to that stupid assss tooth Nordy and Pedey came out with ? Many of their damn dumb ideas

Sorry but Narduzzi actions = BFD to me.... I want the coach to give a shit and Kelly comparisons are dumb.... I don't see Narduzzi throwing players under the bus which is what most ND fans will criticize Kelly of

Refs need to call it both ways!

Narduzzi SHOULD be a homer, he is an energetic, young coach. I want to see that. As for berzerk, he didnt at all go berzerk, not one penalty or warning was given to him.

You are the same poster that would criticize the last coach calling him "sleepy". So, now, a new coach comes along who is energetic, and wow, surprise, you also dont like that. When will you be banned? What on earth do you like? Why would you be on a Pitt message board? Are you that pathetic?

Narduzzi keeps throwing players under a bus, but hasn't hit an asset yet , I hope not, cause want him fired or anyone else that does that

You're proving my point about the officials. They were horrible. If flags were thrown (correctly) on either team for pushing or for grabbing in the beginning, we wouldn't have had the issues the rest of the game. But there's no denying receivers were being grabbed some....just like no one can deny that receivers were pushing off some. Bottom line is the flags weren't one-sided. If you think it was one way then you're in a small minority because the rest of the outside world would disagree.

I agree that coaches should support their players. But the way in which you support your players doesn't include throwing down your headsets (note the plural) and busting them.....running up and down the sideline like a maniac and whining on every-single-flag. If you don't think Narduzzi was over the top, more power to you. I'm just really glad our coach doesn't act that way.

As far as Narduzzi not drawing a flag for his behavior......it's probably because the officials lost control of the game. And other than when Narduzzi raced down the sideline to clap at the official for throwing a flag, he did a pretty good job of just acting like an idiot on the sideline without confronting an official which isn't flag worthy.

How could you say that? They had ZERO flags for PI. That is the definition of one sided. How could the rest of the world disagree with that?

Maybe, just maybe, he should spend less time acting like a jaghole on the sideline and more time using his defensive wizardry to adjust his secondary coverage. He's on the verge of blowing another possible win by being a stubborn SOB.
Yeah, like your posts?;) Saban, Paterno, Meyers, Harbaugh, Dantonio blow up every game too?

So as many times as the DB's grabbed our WR's jerseys, you only got flagged TWICE and the first one didn't get thrown until about two minutes to go in the first half. As far as the pushing, I'd be willing to bet they pushed some and got away with it......but again, maybe they were trying to keep the DB's hands from grabbing them because the DB's were clearly overmatched (which was very apparent).

As far as the rest of the world, people are letting Narduzzi have it on the radio, on social media....you name it. Even his post game presser was chock full of left handed compliments to our team and sour grapes about the officiating.

Glad you like Narduzzi....that's all that matters. Good luck the rest of the season.

Love Narduzzi! And who the heck cares what other people think? People were complaining non stop about Harbaugh at Michigan last year doing the same thing, guess what? He looks pretty good and we have some things in common like pasting UPS.

Nobody complained about Harbaugh , and your comparison is asinine

In this day and age, college teams are better off going with an Offensive Guru for Head Coach, rather than a defensive guy. Granted there have been a couple exceptions, but not many.

It's awesome seeing the future come. I'm psyched seeing Hamlin out there. And seeing how Vtech corners play it's clear we can have that defense soon.

Course I picked us to lose so I expected this one, peterman isn't the qb that can put a team on his back and win. That's our only chance today.
How long do we have to wait ???

Wow. Out of a class of 25 players, we have one stud recruit in the fold? Should I start making travel plans for the playoffs next year?

How many stud recruits at CB do we need ? I think one a year is pretty darn good.

Now that's funny.
Sad, but funny.
I saw a team give up 9 points where most would give up 21.
I disagree with Peaks article in which he asserts that VPI completed passes with relative ease.
There were many incompleted passes and our dbacks were in position to defend passes.
But they didn't.
If you are getting jobbed and not bitching about it, then you'll lose your players.
Finally, head coaches don't mess like you suggest they ought.
Ever notice how Meyer gets away from sideline Huddle's.
Bottom line is this. The ACC is very, very good this year and we are merely good.

When Narduzzi has Pitt in the Top 5, whining about PI flags all night won't be an issue. As far as "who cares".......recruits, alums and people just watching the game who have no ties....this is how you want your head coach to act? Not a good look on a prime time Thursday night game.

Yes, that is exactly how I want my head coach to act. Guess what, recruits like that too. You must never seen an Alabama game, saban has chilled over the years, but was fiery as you get years back.

When the refs are screwing you, you need to act on it, he did, and the calls got better until the end when they gave you guys a ghost first down to seal the game.

I applaud the D for only giving up those 9 points early. I can't, for the life of me, understand why VT tried to switch to the running game in the red zone. Certainly played into Pitt's strength.
I watched a VT team fearlessly throw the ball up for grabs time after time, knowing the success rate was going to be pretty darn good against corners with a track record of being unable to consistently make plays.
It is one thing to work the officials, it is another to act like a lunatic. And had those officials called the game tighter, Pitt's penalty yardage would have been astronomical.
Finally, head coaches who "don't mess" don't last very long in that profession. You are kidding yourself if you don't think Meyer is making his wishes VERY CLEAR over that headset.

I never suggested Meyer wasn't making himself clear.
To the contrary, screamers are usually all over the place.

He definitely is now an official yinzer. Maybe Rollie Massimino?

Vieni su di voi presa per il culo !

You may want to temper your expectations on that "Top 5" stuff. That's kinda like Bronco Mendenhoo saying he can win at HooVA. Pitt should be happy if they become a consistent Top 20 team. Oh, wait, maybe you meant Top 5 in the ACC...Klempsun, Loserville, Free Shoes University, VPI, UNC-Cheater Hill. Better hope Notre Lame never joins the ACC full-time, otherwise, Top 6 might be a long shot.

borderline embarrassing imo. Enough with the drama. Hell, if I were a ref I would have thrown about twenty pass interference flags against Pitt last night. Jumping around and screaming does nothing except make you look foolish.

And how many penalties,"if you were a ref", would you have called against Tech for interference against the Tech receivers for pushing off which was happening all night long, and their OL for holding on our blitzes?

I agree that the refs were terrible, but if you were at the game you might have a different view. I also agree that holding could have been called all night but you have to call it both ways. Pushing off is also a penalty and was not being called at all.

Duzz was very emotional but as the OP said, "gotta love his spirit". When you're not getting a fair shake and you have a lot of spirit, you have a tendency to get pissed off.

Looked to me like the only time the VPI receivers were pushing off was when they were being bear-hugged by the Pitt DBs. In all honesty, I think the fact that Pitt wore white gloves benefited them in that they blended in with the white jerseys that VPI wore. Pitts left tackle held VPI #4 on defense so much last night, #4's jersey was stretched out about three sizes too big.

No, it was every pass to the sideline. They used a hand to make their cut. Pushed off separated and turned.

And another thing, why on God's green earth didn't Nard allow his safeties to help out with the CBs. That's a really bad flaw in his coaching, he went in with one plan and refused to change it up. When you do the same thing over and over and expect different results, that's the definition of insanity. If you're a Pitt fan, you have to be pissed about that. It lost the game for you.

Narduzzi is the best HC we have had since Sherrill. The odds of finding someone better that would actually want to come here are extremely slim. You would think some of the people out there would have learned from Haywood, Graham, and Chryst.

I can say I want Pat Narduzzi as our Head Coach.. end of story !

H2P !
