Great read at ESPN.com on how Miami of Ohio screwed Pitt transfer Nick Sibande

Do agree the entire ncaa transfer system is broken. Either everyone should be granted eligibility waivers or no one should. I would favor no one granted a waiver except if the head coach when you were recruited leaves for another school. Even in that situation you shouldn’t be able to join that coach at his new place.

Also, IMHO, all athletic ships should be good for 4-5 years or until graduation whichever comes first. No ability for coaches to to run any player off. Players good until they graduate unless they are involved in a criminal offense involving law enforcement or they flunk out of school.

NCAA = Garage League

Also, this article is from today so it is relevant. Telling last few sentences......

Or, perhaps Miami will put emotion aside and actually do what is right and what the school said it would do: support Sibande's waiver request. It is not too late for Miami to do so.

Let's hope it does.
