It was my son's first basketball game. We had seats first row under the basket. My son loved getting pics with roc. He caught a t shirt. A dance team member came up and talked to him for five minutes.

My only criticism was with the ushers. They let people move down but then when the actual seat owners wanted their actual seat it created shuffling and lots of up and downs for people. But a great time...

Thanks for sharing. How old is your son?

8. He got in one of the tribs pictures too so that made his night

My son is 10, and he's been going to so many games with me since he was a baby. Mostly, he's kinda bored, but he loves the t-shirt toss. In his time, he's honestly snagged about 2 dozen (very young kids are t-shirt magnets).

During the last game, I was SO happy because he was into the game like never before, commenting on the plays and what different players were doing. Tonight is was back to the iphone for 90% of the game.

Oh well.

I hate that the kids always get the shirts. I've been to every game at the Pete and the only time I got one was when I ripped it out if a little kid's hands.

LOL

That kind of attitude will make you the subject of sports talk shows!

Here's the rub.

Most of the t-shirts my son has gotten are XL's, so he's not wearing them any time soon.

He got an xl straight out of Oakland shirt. He has no idea of the reference

My son is 11 and usually is as intensely into the games as I am. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing though!

I was sitting with my boys right behind you under the basket. Their first game and mine too. What a great atmosphere. I wish I could have seen the Zoo in full effect though. But a lot of fun!!!
