Guess it couldn't wait until tomorrow!

So...No Carr, No Stewart, No Kingsby

We are back to no guards - Hopefully the new coach is a recruitinator.

Just because you ask for it doesn’t mean you get it. The school will wait until a new coach is hired. We’ll get some of these kids back. And if we don’t, no big deal.

I don't believe any of these 3 are coming back.

I think Carr will be back. There are 100 Juco guards like Kingsby, I’m not worried. Good luck to Parker elsewhere.

Well, actually there are about 2 Juco guards like Kingsby, as he's the 26th rated overall Juco in this class and the 3rd rated combo guard. But sure. 100s.

I liked what I saw of Kingsby. He has really good handles and sees the floor very well. Of course it was all highlights on YouTube, so it's hard to say. It will be interesting to see where he lands.

Trying to keep this in perspective, this team was 0-19 in ACC play. Remember that. And it wasn't even that they were 0-19, it was how they lost those 19 games. They were losing badly by double digits, some by 20+ points. These kids are replaceable. And the recruits coming in are just as replaceable as they are, at best, bench players on a good ACC team. If they're even recruited by any ACC team.

Get the new coach in here and let's see who he can recruit.

Ask all you want but if they get their release, it wont be until the new coach signs off. If PItt makes the right hire I doubt these kids will leave.

Right, this is fairly standard during a coaching change for kids to ask for their release. The new coach will most likely get a chance to recruit the kids he wants to keep from leaving.

It's actually nice- new coach can get rid of players just by saying "Yes" to their requests, without being seen as running them off. He can concentrate on trying to talk the ones (if any) worth keeping into staying.

The guys at the bottom of the roster are just acting before they’re asked to leave anyway . Losing everyone will just guranatee another totally horrible season .

Right and as you say some at the bottom who want to leave like George, Peace, etc... are doing Pitt a favor giving them more open scholarships. Hopefully the new coach can use those scholarships better than they are currently being used.

I really dont think Pitt would be any better if everyone from this present team came back next year anyway. There is a reason they went winless in the conference lol.

Goodman is getting his info from one of the former assistant coaches who are now looking to place certain Pitt players with other schools as part of them getting a job.

lol, guys, these players couldn't win a game in conference and were blown out by 30+ on most games. and they want to leave? OK, please do. Seriously, PLEASE DO. you think our next coach is going to rebuild this program with these players? Come on now..

Them leaving is the best thing in the world that could happen to this program. They are the avg looking, annoying girlfriend who doesn't put out and makes you stay in with her on weekends, breaking up with you first. It's great and you avoid the guilt..

You are right for 75% of them. Players like Carr and Stewart though can help the next coach turn around the program faster. Maybe even add Stevenson tio those two. I think they are legit players at this level. I would even add Brown and maybe Davis to that list although neither should be starting on an ACC team especially at this point. But Brown is a decent big off the bench who can give you some quality minutes and I can see Davis being a decent role player as well.

Players like Peace, George, etc... obviously don't hurt leaving.

carr and stewart can, I like Carr a lot but lets not act like it's the end of the world here. Its not like a new coach cant replace either with a half decent kid from high school.

A new coach will come in, hopefully he'll be a decent name and 1/2 these players crying about Stallings leaving will realize that playing for this new coach cant possibly be any worse than playing for stallings, and they'll stay. We know how this turns out. The positive in all of this is IF they do miraculously all leave, is it really that bad?

Objectively looking at this, I'd rather have them all leave than all stay, if I had to pick one.

Agree... I am just saying I am sure the new coach will want to keep a few of them instead of having total roster turnover. It will also help with Class balance.

You're right, having them all stay would be even worse. Of course we would all like a few of the players with some potential to stay but there's not a single player on this team where we could all agree that he's going to be a sure fired all ACC 1st or 2nd team player.

they feel slighted and left out of the equation, like their opinion doesn't matter. Which lets face it, it doesn't. so they want to form some sort of bond to make a unified statement like it will leave the AD and school scrambling, which of course it wont..

LIke I said, most of these players don't belong on a D1 court now or in the next few years. the sooner they leave, the quicker pitt can turn this program around.

Carr could be a decent guard, stewart is a typical small shooting guard who can hit 3's if open, not exactly a skill set impossible to find. Stevenson is gritty off bench. I like Wilson-frame but he's got 1 year left. Luther is local, that's his best trait..

sorry if I don't panic on empty threats from this collection of "talent." Had they played a decent ACC team and kept it under 30 point loss, I may have felt different.
