Guessing this will find some rebuttal here...

Heinz Field isn't one of Populous' finer efforts. Aesthetically it is ugly, inside and out. Navigating from the west stands to the east and back is a split-level puzzle. The north ramps take 3 days to descend. The upper deck is too damned high thanks to double-decking the suites. The ketchup bottles are abominable. The end zone markings are stupid with lines in one and PITTSBURGH in the other. The concrete is crumbling. The lower bowl sight lines are too shallow. The food sucks. On the positive side, I like the iron gates with PANTHERS and STEELERS and the Great Hall and the intimate crowds at most Pitt games.

I yearn for metal bench seating.
No, I prefer the old wooden bleachers at the stadium, not the metal ones. One could never get enough splinters. Pitt stadium became a dump, not because of the fans, blame the weak administrations for failure to modernize and maintain the facility. Throw some blame at the eggheads that probably fought every $$$ that we’re directed to the football and basketball programs.

My biggest complaint about the bathrooms is the urinals. The water is cold......and deep.

The Steelers could still play in Three Rivers and the fans would rate it average.

Disagree completely. It looks great from Point State Park and definitely more appeal than some of its contemporaries. Incredibly obvious how to get from the east to the west stands (not sure why you need to do this anyway). The ramps are no different than most other modern stadiums. The double-stacked suites is really no different than how others have multiple levels of suites/clubs. The only thing that's lacking is an open concourse with a view of the field. Lower bowl sight lines are basically the same as every other pro stadium I've been to. Food is expensive, but good.
