for our Backcourt come Wednesday. The way those 2 guards (Rozier & Jones) play(speed, quickness, no fear ,short memory) is just what we struggle to play against. Even if we score a lot it is not us dictating the game..Louisville actually wants us to try getting into a up & down game w/ them. We need to get this game ugly & w/ no rythum or set pace to it. We need to get back on every single possession.
We cannot get into a false sense of accomplishment as a scoring team against Louisville. This game is about winning , not just staying within 10 points by scoring 75 points in a loss.
Can our backcourt step up & win a game on the road against their most difficult matchup...We will not be expected to fair very well...but this game is winable. It will take JRob, Newkirk & Cam playing at their absolute best w/ Artis being a key component in breaking the pressure of the full court press. Chris Jones cannot get too aggressive trying to dribble too much against their quickness..that is his liability at times because while he gives a nice size advantage in situtations his stand straight up style of dribbling is a banquet for those quick guards from Louisville. See lazy, soft crosscourt passes, getting caught picking up the dribble in a double team, etc. This game will be won or lost in the backcourt.

Hail to PITT !!!

p.s. It's why you play the game, no one is handed anything.
