I know better than to get too far ahead of myself after one game agains suspect competition. This team has a lot of youth that will show up at times, I’m sure, but man it is hard not to be bullish about this team as long as the key players stay healthy.
They are deeper than last year, the twins and Fede look to be improved over last year with a seasons worth of further improvement to come, the depth looked better than I was expecting - Hueitt appears to have a burst and a shot. Lowe will get much better over the year. It just feels like a team that could take anyone if they stay locked in on both sides of the floor.
You know Capel will keep coaching them hard, and it’s super obvious that these guys all love playing together. I wish Justin Champagnie could have played on a team like this or last year’s team. Would’ve been a much higher ceiling.
I said all that without mentioning Bub. Hail to Bub. My lord, what a debut.
