Interesting that a lot of OSU media people think he is headed to Pitt.
And of course PSU clowns on BWI think he is headed to Penn State and not even considering Pitt. It's somewhat funny when you read that they consider themselves in the same ball park with OSU, when they were the worst FBS program in state this year and had a lineman run in a touchdown against them that's now a vine classic.

Can't assume anything in recruiting. PSU is still in the top 3, as is OSU. We all hope Pitt is it, but I, for one, will take nothing for granted. PSU and OSU are in it as long as it is included in his list, and they are still possibilities.
If Pitt picks up just 3 to 4 more Four Star Recruits, they will be a Top 25 Recruiting Class and possibly pass WVU and Penn State as well????
Even more frightening, Narduzzi Recruits are very adaptable and variable to being molded more easier into positions Pitt will need ASAP based on taking more Athletes than just Position Recruits like WVU & PSU?
This is what Recruiting Guru Mike Farrell said recently. Everyone knows by now, that Narduzzi can coach up any Recruit, because he did it at Pitt in his First Year! as well as doing it, at MSU every year!
Franklin is still working on his Plan to do it at Penn State? Holgrosen too!
Hamilin would be a great addition to this Pitt Class, and no doubt a Starter and NFL Pick in 3 Years if he comes to Pitt!

He can walk in a probably start at Pitt next September, just like Whitehead.. Not to say that he couldn't do this for either of his other final 3, but there would be a little more competition.

Mike Farrell said too, that these Pitt Recruits all are very fast and know how to hit like bricks, and that means some can play at DBs, LBs, and RBs, and WRs, where they are most need in 2016 and not just 1 or 2 but a few more too!!!
I'm usually pessimistic about Pitt's chances in cases like this, but Coach Duzz and his crew has me thinking that Mr. Hamlin very well may be a Panther when all is said and done...

Tony Pride a corner from South Carolina is announcing today. The sources at ND indicate that both Hamlin and Pride were told last week that ND would only be taking one more corner and would take the first one to commit. Pride committed to the ND coaching staff yesterday and will make his announcement this afternoon for ND. This is the reason that Hamlin put out his tweet announcing that he had dropped ND from consideration.
I personally feel that Hamlin is the better prospect, as he has more size than Pride. But Pride is pretty good as he was an early commitment to Virginia Tech before he flipped, and they have a good reputation for turning out corner backs. Hope Hamlin picks Pitt.

You could be right. It was clear that ND was not willing to wait any longer for Hamlin if Pride was willing to commit. This unwillingness to wait could be an indicator that ND was not sure that they would get Hamlin, thus they told both Hamlin and Pride that they would take the first one to commit.
It's always been Pitt. 100% Pitt. Been that way for a long time.
One has to wonder if Hamlin would choose Pitt over Penn State, will Franklin Fire his New OC that went to Central?
If Pitt gets another 4 Star Recruit it will move to Top 29th or 30th in Rival Rankings! A Second one will move them to Top 25! A Third will take them to Top 20! A Fourth will put them between Top 15-20! Hamlin could bring such caliber of players to join him at Pitt!
Penn State is at 18th but its Verbal Commit from Michigan has Re-open Recruiting Visits to Michigan and if he leaves like some have done, Penn State will drop further without adding New 4 Stars.
Make me wonder why Penn State went after Central Catholic Grad Moorhead as OC for more Recruiting Reasons than OC prowess at a Non-FBS School?
As many good, PSU Posters admitted on the Lair to be fair, Franklin is under strong pressures to challenge and beat MSU, Michigan and OSU and Iowa in 2016, as well as Pitt, Maryland, Rutgers, and Temple too!
The Penn State Former Alumni Players have whispered among themselves, that Franklin doesn't have the Coaching to stay with OSU, Michigam, MSU, and Iowa other Big Ten Programs, and with Pitt, Maryland and Rutgers grabbing Big Ten DCs and OCs, along with Penn State's Ruhle at Temple, well, Franklin has talked more in Living Rooms, than he has Coached on the field and GridIron?
Hamlin is a very smart Recruit and will not be intimidated, in my opinion,and I admit I know less than the other Lair Recruiting Experts with a tip of my hat to them!
As I See it, ND had already taken many DBs and when they told him, commit now or never, he said, see you in never!
This indicates to me that he is considering where he can play early and often too, as well as who can Coach him up to Play as a Freshmen like Narduzzi did Whitehead this year.
Moreover, Hamlin will have some choices at Pitt where he is talented to play next year and is needed at Pitt at DB, and playing some WR or RB too, like Whitehead did this year?
Anyway, being down to PITT, OSU, or PSU speaks well of Hamlin and all 3 Programs too! Should Hamlin choose OSU or PITT over PSU, he will be trashed on the BWI Boards, as they are trashing PSU;s Verbal Nordin right now for just making visits to other Programs?

Hamlin will do well either place he will go, based only on him, more than anyone else. No fan in the stand will make that happen, only himself, his coaches, and other players will help him accomplish his goals and how he takes advantage of his opportunities to play.

Franklin is a very nice guy and great salesman but he has a tall task to overcome OSU, Michigan and MSU, and Iowa's Ferentz, Temple's Ruhle, and Pitt's Narduzzi will out coach, coach up, and all but Temple will out recruit him the next few years!

Additionally, Coach Narduzzi hasa record of coaching up all Players even 2 Star Recruits into First Round Draft Choices!
Coach Franklin on the other hand is still a formidable Recruiter and has way more Resources than Pitt, but he has had to have a Press Conference to explain his poor Game Day Coaching, and did not do well in answering many questions from the Media. Only says he has a Plan?
To me that showed panic and that was before the MSU Blow Out Game where he spoke of confidence being with OC Donovan a long time Staffer and Friend....then fired him the next week?
He hired a Western Pennsylvania Native Central Catholic OC and I think he did that for Recruiting more than coaching, we will see?
Coach Pat has a OC Selection too, and I think he watching how Salem does in the Navy Game? Just a guess and don't have a clue what Coach Pat is thinking?

So we don't need another running back? Let's just not recruit 1 for 2 years +. God lord look at the best teams in this country it's running back by committee. AL has 3 or 4 - 4* RB on their team at one time. I'm sure Nic never said, oh we had the sec freshmen back of the year lets just back off we are good for 3 years.

To say Sanders was a must get recruit is semi nuts. I would say in Narduzzi scheme Hamlin is a higher priority and MacVittie is also a must get just due to our numbers there.
