Is Damar Hamlin injured this spring? I haven't heard his name mentioned at all during spring practices

Seems like he has been injured since high school .
Maybe this year could be a good year to redshirt and start new next season.
Losing hope that he will be an impact player.

No need to lose hope in the kid, if he's injured then they should keep him out as long as needed so he's 100%. We are finally building enoughdepth in the secondary that we don't need to rush Damar back and risk injuring him further. I still think he'll be an impact player, just not as soon as we expected.

Wait I thought you were the OP that didn't have a clue about Hamlin!!!! I'm so F'n confused!!!

When Johnny Majors ran Spring Ball he was wise enough not to have Tony Dorsett Practice due to possible injuries but never said it, just kept him out. Did the same with some other Players too. He already knew what they could do and no need to risk any injuries.

Whether Coach Pat is doing the same in this Spring game inactives (all injury-related) will are Hamlin, Malik Henderson, Hendrix, Zeise, Reynolds, Hall, and Chris Clark. Whether Coach Pat & Staff want to make sure these Players still get a break to heal even longer as he finds other possible in Spring Ball to be Back Ups, I don't know. But it made good sense in 1970s with Dorsett and some others but finding potential replacements is now more important than in August.

I did not hear that! I thought he was solid to Pitt all the way. Is it true they are breaking ground for on campus stadium this year too?

I do not give up on players if they do not happen to stand out their 1st year in the program. But there does come a point where a young player needs to be out on the field practicing, getting reps, competing in order to hone their skills.
I do not care how much potential a player may have if he's not getting work physically the other players will exceed or bypass him.
This is getting very close to a point where Damar needs to find a way to stay healthy. This is not me attacking him but just taking my experiences of following sports for the past 50 years.
At the very least when Damar does find his way back out onto the field I would not be expecting too much for at least a healthy amount of time until he can get his sea legs, take & deliver some punishment, etc.

H2 PITT !!!
P.S. Chris Clark is another that has me concerned about staying out on the field getting serious practice time against players competing in their own right.
