Has Kyle Cieplicki contributed to the change in the offense?

I’m sure he’s played a role. You think about it, and last year Capel had Richards and Ramon in those off court staffer roles, along with Regan. Now, you have Cieplicki, Presutti and Gilbert Brown with Regan. Richards had a solid few years of experience as a video guy/assistant DOBO under his belt, but basically replacing his role with two people, who each individually have more experience (Cieplicki as a bench assistant, Presutti as a video/scouting guy) than Richards did is almost certainly an improvement. Then you basically have Gilbert Brown doing a lot of the same stuff Ramon did, with a similar resume, but without as many of the scouting responsibilities. Having three guys instead of two to do the same work is almost a guaranteed improvement, on top of the actual coaching chops that Cieplicki brings to the table being better and more experienced.

I really think that off-court staffers are the way of the future in the way that major college basketball programs operate. The same way you see the off-field staffer ranks in football continue to grow at the biggest schools.
