It is official. We are the unluckiest team in college history.
Do we still think we have good coaches ? it's not unlucky it's coaching. Narduzzi made numerous bad decisions but two major ones that cost us the game.

Killing his own team's momentum on 4th and 6 inches from the Iowa 40 was his mistake. That's when the game was lost.
If they are stupid maybe. Icing the kicker gives them an extra practice kick and makes them more likely to make a field goal.
I'm going to give Narduzzi a pass on that though because it's 57 yards and he wanted to get Boyd in the end zone to return it.
Yes, we have good coaches. I'll take what I've seen this year so far over what we've had by a long distance. Coaches learn, and unfortunately he will have to take few hard knocks at the P5 level. I love his energy too, I think that has an impact on how our teams will play.
Enough with the qb rotation. If you're not gonna call plays conducive to Voytik's success, stop wasting possessions on him. Two wasted possessions that shifted a quarter's worth of momentum to Iowa. Also, Hall is a dancer, i prefer Ollison.
The 4th and 6 inches on the Iowa 40 was a no brainer.
A) If you trust your defense, then you can trust them from the 40 as easy as the 20 if we don't convert.
B) We had them on the ropes. We let them up off the mat. It was a collossal mistake.
It was a no-brainer. Only one other coach does what Narduzzi did there. David Wannstedt.
But it's his third game as a head coach. He'll learn. Hopefully.
This is the best coached this program has looked in a LONG time.

This is pretty much what I said at a neighborhood bar in Dayton, Ohio tonight. I paid my tip and started walking away before the kick was attempted. I know the deal.
I seemed to have seen the first kick as being short because he was just going through the motions after the whistle (similar to a basketball player shooting well after a whistle.) The kid had a 52 yard fg against us last year at heinz. Tip your cap to the kicker. He made a play. Sometimes it happens despite your best effort
True dat! But if we have a 26 yarder (Duke '14) or a 33 yarder (ND '12) to win, we are sure to miss. That's typical Pitt football.
I think it would take our guy two kicks to make it from 57 yds. Only Pitt loses like this...
