I wouldn't read much into that. The 1st part is "AD speak." The last sentence about the talent level is the only thing you could possibly read into.
It could either mean:
- Its been 4 years and we arent at the talent level so this guy gotta go

- Jeff had to deal with a very unlucky situation where his first recruiting class and best player from 2nd recruiting class all left because they were screwing each other's girlfriends and hated each other. I believe he can add more talent to get us on the right track.

Wake Forest gives Heather a very convenient excuse to save $3 million in buyout fees. They went from 0 to 100 by getting a few portal dudes. I'm not saying we are going to be Wake next season but seeing what they did gives Heather at least hope Capel can start winning soon.
The other team she will look at is Miami, who I thought I saw somewhere has an older starting 5 than some NBA teams. Guys who were mediocre players got a little better, a little older, and now they are NCAAT. That is the hope for our 28 year old guards

Yes. Just off the top of my head, Jeff Capel was fired at Oklahoma with five years left on his contract. They paid his buyout and didn’t fire him for cause.

I obv hope Capel gets canned but I didn't like when Heather said she has full confidence in him. I just get the bad feeling she brings him back for a 5th season. It's her hire, he'll probably convince her he will get some high impact portal kids and we'll be a lot better next season.
