Anyone close to the program know if this is a good thing or bad thing for wrestling? Seems odd that outside of last year the football team was doing well, basketball was making strides, the soccer and volleyball programs have been great. Ive heard that they wanted someone to come in and push NIL a bit harder.

Not sure how true but heard she committed to brining in money to pay for Victory Heights. She was no where close to the dollar amount she committed to. In general she wasn’t good at getting money out of the big donors.

It's hard to imagine the next AD being any more supportive of non-revenue sports than she was. At best, it might be a lateral move in terms of support for wrestling. At worst, it could be really bad, if the next person is only interested in football and basketball success.

Being supportive is great, and HL was definitely supportive (basically allowed by the previous chancellor to deficit spend) of the Olympic Sports.

I think next AD will likely not have the general fund resources she had & have to find other revenue streams to keep that level of support going. I hope they can!

She was a disaster on financial side of the business. She was good at photo ops but our football program was hampered by her putting her head in the sand about NIL. Victory Heights was also a financial disaster.
