When Pitt football was in their mediocre stretch these past few years, I leaned on Pitt basketball for my Pitt enjoyment and followed recruiting very closely. This year, I will admit that I fell off quite a bit and ignored a lot of basketball news while focusing on everything football and the energy around that program. I haven't been to these boards in a while now on a regular basis and am very out of the loop on who half of the guys are that these threads are talking about/what the perceived chances are. I tried checking out the basketball recruiting homepage thing and looked at the big board but I still feel like I don't know the big names we're going hard for. Who is the guy that we might land that could make us all way too excited/break our hearts if he chooses elsewhere?

I know this team we have on the court now by keeping up with all of them, but the only things I know about the current '16 commits are from their main articles Matt has written. Looking at the big board, I see a lot of big fish we may have whiffed on? (PSU has two top 80 guys, what is this bizzaro world we're living in?) Is the feeling on these commits a lot of confidence or that they were plan Bs (other than Manigault, he's been onboard a while)? Are there any Cheick Diallo type guys that Pitt has a realistic shot with in the next couple of classes that I should know about for when my heart is broken? Any scoop to get me back in the loop really helps. I feel like I can't be the only guy here a little behind the times after an exciting football season. I figured I would ask this question now since we don't have another game until Friday and the top post when I clicked on this board was about Maverick Rowan sponsored by Adidas, no wait Nike, no wait yeah Adidas
