During the Western Michigan game a guy watching with me said they were in Ypsilanti. I corrected him and said it was in Kalamazoo. That lead me to think I seem to recall a Panther great or near great (either football or basketball) from Ypsilanti. Probably mid 80s. None of the Pitt fans watching could remember who it was... Had to be on the tip of my tongue but I just could not come up with him...

Drawing a blank. When I think of prominent panthers from Michigan in that era, I think of Darnell Dickerson and Demetrius Gore. Both were from Detroit though I believe.
