than run jet sweeps.

He needs to be a threat as a receiver. Run some fly routes if only to stretch the defense.

Shift other backfield alignment and attempt to get a mismatch with Henderson on a wheel route.

He has the speed. It needs to be used more.

Send him across the middle. I think we see at least one slant route for Henderson that goes for a big, big gain.

I focused on QH on two pass plays and in both cases he got tangled up in traffic and was a non-factor in the play. Only 2 plays, but disappointing to see...

I like lining him up in the backfield on some plays... No one on the team comes close to him for elusiveness...

GO PITT.

I said this last year, but I think in some ways he is used in so much misdirection, he gets winded and is less effective when he touches the ball. I know it helps keep the defense "honest," but he runs like 50 yards every play. I seem to recall that he sometimes becomes less effective as the game wears on. The defense may adjust for him, but I think he slows down. Don't get me wrong, he is electric when he gets the ball so he needs to touch it as much as possible. I just notice hands on hips and some other fatigue signs at times. No numbers to prove it, just an observation. Thoughts??

Duzz ran that play over and over and over.
Will shelve it on Saturday, until he doesn't.

Maybe?????

Duzz wants that Big Mouth ,bigly
Don't see it happening, but Duzz won't sleep 10 hours all week

I think your observation is spot on. Last year, Henderson appeared to be more effective with Whitehead, Ford, Tipton, Ffrench, etc. running the misdirection at times. Whitehead, Ford, and Tipton are not options at this point; however, why not try Ffrench, Weah (long strider), etc? My guess is we will see some major wrinkles off of this formation with Henderson in the slot while the guys mentioned run wind sprints across the field. By switching these guys in and out, the LBs are going to get winded as well.

Its really perplexing that a kid with his ability could struggle so much in the passing game that they couldn't figure out a way to get the ball to him 4 or 5 times a game other than the jet sweep. But I kept saying the same thing as the year went on last year and new OC and so far(only one game) same thing. You would think they could at least throw him a quick WR screen once or twice a game(hell they threw boyd 5 or 6 a game) and then run a deep straight fly pattern once or twice off the screen setup. I would really like to see some late drags across the middle after the LB's have dropped in coverage/blitzed where we get him the ball in space. I know through 14 games(last year and this) the only times I have seen him targeted in the passing game were pretty much normal WR routes.

I expect to see them use him more out of the backfield and especially in the slot on crossing routes.

If Browne has the big arm we have all been led to believe, and Weah can stretch defenses vertically, Henderson is the perfect guy to bring underneath those stretched defenses. Ffrench too.

When you had JC tearing it up last year, and the potential of a quick hitter to Aston, only the bare essential attention could be paid to the sweep too. That helped the pass game succeed as well.

Aston's unique talent doesn't seem remotely replaceable, so I hope we can get more (approaching Conner's threat) from the conventional backs. Or maybe a combination of Ffrench and Henderson in the game together could open things up. Otherwise, Henderson will be a marked man, either on sweeps or screens.

What about a wheel route? I heard the Pitt defense could stop it once in practice

That's a really good point. Impossible to disagree with any of it.
