If she is vanquished , who in the hell is the nominee for the Socialists??? Crazy Uncle Joe Biden? Comrade Bernie? Or that pussy Omalley? Imagine apologizing because he had the nerve to say " all lives matter". What a dope. Are there enough people who vote for government support to push one of me over the top?

I think you see Sanders regardless. He is running on the expansion of Medicare, raising the minimum wage, affordable college, investing in infrastrcture and ending the oligarchy.

One of those things Donald Trump supports, most people support the others.

Yea, Bernie has it all figured out... Using someone else's money, or going another trillion per year in debt.

Good God, the D's bench is made up of players below the Mendoza line.

...and they have no one fir the future either.

Soufs comment is more indicative of the R's bench 4-8 years ago. Good strong bench now. But not then. And we paid the price.

That nails it.

Any party that would have Donald Freakin' Trump leading in the polls is leaning back on the ropes, begging for the knockout punch to come.
First, this has nothing to do with the party, other than the GOP allows anyone who wants to run to do so and the polls target those who self identify as "leaning Republican".

Second, I've been trying to figure out what is driving the Trump phenomenon and read a quick analysis this morning from O'Reilly that I can buy into:

It is quite apparent that many voters are furious with craven, cowardly politicians who don’t even try to solve problems or even stand up against injustice,” O’Reilly said. “That’s why Trump has stolen the show so far.”

The cable news host went on to say that Trump’s “slash and burn style” is appealing to voters who have had enough with a political system that is “essentially cowardly and dishonest.”

“Trump hammers the establishment on the border chaos, the lack of respect for America overseas and the often disgraceful treatment of wounded vets,” O’Reilly pointed out. “At this point, it really doesn’t matter whether Trump has specific solutions to vexing problems. It is enough for millions of voters that he is calling out the charlatans.

But what is interesting is what the polls say. A CNN poll this morning shows Trump with huge margins (~40% differentials) on specific issues like the economy, ISIS, and immigration. But 58% of those same respondents opine that Trump is less electable than other GOP candidates. That tells me that they like what Trump says but that "like" might not translate into a vote.

^^^Great find.^^^ Trump is taking the easy way out: what Trump's doing is pointing-out the biggest problems of America - but with the subtlety of a sledgehammer. As he's demonstrating, any moron can do that.

He's playing to, and directly appealing to, peoples' worst fears and frustrations. Again, any moron can do that. With apologies to Godwin (of "Godwin's Law"), it's been done before - Germany in the 1930's?

The problem is that his "solutions" aren't doable or affordable.

Sending the illegals back to Mexico? How many billions will that cost?

What about his idea about getting Mexico to build that border-wall? You think they'll do it?

Fighting ISIS? With boots on the ground? How many billions? How many thousands of lives?

Overhauling Obamacare? Again - how many billions?

It's easy to point out problems. Solutions? Not so easy.

Current and former immigration picies, or more accurately, lack of enforcing policies, has made it ecomically improbable to enforce border security. We have basically given up trying to fix a major issue. Sad really but not surprising that we are so interested in listening to a candidate who actually wants to address the issue.

I agree. As I've said before, Trump's straight talk against the powers-that-be is appealing but the total package is not worth serious consideration. I've also read where Trump's popularity has both a floor and a ceiling in 20-30% range. In other words, he's near his peak but won't fall much until the field narrows and alternative candidates start consolidating support.

I think that will happen eventually but it may be drawn out a lot longer than the GOP establishment likes. I'm happy about that, though, because - as you said - it is forcing the other candidates to take real positions on some tough issues rather than the general platitudes given by all competitors of both parties...excepting Sanders.

The CBO just did an analysis on the cost of repealing obamacare. It would cost us around $150 billion to repeal.

Not for nothing, but Trump isn't the only Rephblican candidate that wants boots back on the ground.

Also, I am sure Mexico would build a wall for us if they could make a few bucks. I hear their labor is cheap.

Ironic considering the post above yours is a conservative referencing an "analysis" by the recurring Comedy Central guest, Bill O'Reilly.
An occasional guest on CC.
That's big.... Real big

Since not watching either thanks for the update

What has Biden done that's crazy?

It's eggsackly what BHO did......nice little euphemisms, not a scintilla of sound policy has followed. At least he lied in a warm & fuzzy way. Trump is just loud & fuzzy.

...and they have no one fir the future either.

Future? What about Warren? I'll make a prediction today. If Hillary doesn't win this election. Warren will win in 2020.

Why? Because she'll learn from Hillary's mistakes. She's a woman. Most females will want her to be their president. Most minorities will vote for her. (minority soon to become the majority, this is what Rs fear the most)

If Rs win this time. That will mean they'll control the House, Senate and President. They'll have too much power and make many mistakes. Just like Ds did when Obama was first elected. And like Ds they'll be voted out of office. And the beat will go on.

The problem with putting boots on the ground is that the nation seems to be war-weary. Being the "world's policeman" has taken a toll, both in economic cost and human cost. Fighting a war that was unnecessary has made it more undesirable to fight a war that just might be necessary. Every day we're witness to ads for the Wounded Warrior Project and other admirable programs that repeatedly remind us of the cost of combat.

It was fairly recently that the Rs controlled all three, and as a result the country elected Obama.

Would anyone question the statement that we have a serious leadership vacuum - on both sides of the aisle?

I'm not disparaging the Comedy Central news shows. However, if one wants to attack that source of news, they should be prepared to answer for when their poster child is a regular guest.
Here's the answer
Don't watch either

Swing and a miss you're out

Of course you aren't. You probably get your news there too. Even Stewart laughed at those who thought CC was news.

Appearances on a non-news show has nothing to do with the individual's work away from those appearances. You are stretching even your non-existent credibility in making such a comparison.

Warren will never be President. Mark it down.

But the usual pea brain insults.

He should take a knee

elizabeth warren as president roflmao.

she's hillary, just farther left. arrogant, strident, ugly (sorry but this unfortunately is something that is important in a presidential contest) isn't likeable, high-handed, aggressive-aggressive, scandals in her past that play into her negative qualities, the similarities go on and on.

she stands zero chance of ever winning.

the democrats won twice by running a corporatist with socialist ideals who said he was a pragmatic centrist and got people to believe him.

for some reason this makes them think they can win by running people who proudly say they actually are socialists.

He is running on the expansion of Medicare, raising the minimum wage, affordable college, investing in infrastrcture and ending the oligarchy.

the democrats basic appeal is "we can do all this nice stuff and nothing else will change." and some people are stupid enough to believe it. they're stupid enough to think you can arbitrarily raise the minimum wage with no negative consequences. they're stupid enough to think you can "expand" medicare with no negative consequences. they're stupid enough to think that you can make college "affordable" through government fiat with no negative consequences. they're stupid enough to think america doesn't spend 1 trillion+ a year on infrastructure. they're stupid enough to think that there is an "oligarchy" and that the government can "end" it (presumably through destructive taxation) with absolutely no negative change for anyone else.

it'd be funny if it weren't so stupid and dangerous.
