This could be the biggest news to hit the 'burg since...well...there is nothing to compare to this! Imagine...this 17 year old telling all of us where he will be attending college...! Man am I excited!! Boy oh boy!! What a country!

I blame this crap on ESPN.

Alot of the "announcement" stuff started when the army all american bowl started it back in the early 2000's . That's when the whole hat on the table thing started and then you started seeing kids all over the country doing the same thing at their high schools . Thankfully the hat thing seems to have gone away and now kids are just announcing. It could be that the high school coaches and the schools themselves have as much to do with it as the athetes .

ain't going away. Kids have grown up with this and want their moment too. There was a kid who wanted to participate so much that he staged one.

Like dumping water on the coach or storming the b'ball court. Get used to it.

Agree, and the Recruits that Pitt does get Coach Narduzzi & Staff are there to coach up and preform on game day. 247 Sports has him 75% going to Penn State.

Jeter is big, really need to land him. Think duzzi gets it with importance of de linemen. All coaches say it but their actions don't. A lot to sell to a young linemen with early PT. we are gonna have 1 if not 2 true freshmen playing de tackle this year

It sucks that a couple kids are heading elsewhere, but from what I've gathered from this staff is that they seem to have a plan in place to get at the minimum and equal talent from other areas of the country.....Hopefully Pitt lands Tyler Dunning to compensate

I know he's a 17 year old kid but someone should know better than to let him announce his intentions on a Pittsburgh station if he is going to Notre Dame.

Most of this recruiting stuff doesn't affect me but this rubs me the wrong way. It's kind of like rubbing it in the face of Pitt fans in general and Narduzzi in particular. But that's just me.
