For anyone who might have some information or perspective.... what is the word on the street about Hinson returning?

I believe he has until the 31st to declare his return to Pitt. Just excited in the wake of the Kante commit that we will continue our momentum from last season. Thanks to anyone who can add insight. H2P!

No inside info but he isn't going to be drafted. I am sure he is hoping to land a 2 way deal, where he would make a little under $100K if he played 0 NBA games and up to approximately $250K if he spends 45 days on an active NBA roster. I think BballinsiderfromPitt said he would make $150K at Pitt next year but I could be remembering that incorrectly. If that is true, it would seem pretty senseless to roll the NBA dice, not get a 2 way, and land in some lower Euro league making $30K-$50K

You, little man, know absolutely nothing about Hinson's life, his desires, his goals. So why don't you just shut up. $$$ is not the only thing in life except to very samll minded people such as you. Maybe pukes like you drive people away from Pitt. Who wants to be around things like you trying to dictate to eveeyone based on your one track and almost always wrong little thoughts, if they are thoughts at all.

Was what I posted negative? I think Hinson is a really really good college player. My point is that Pitt should be able to pay NBA 2-way contract money so it would suck to lose a guy to a 2-way and while I think he would have a decent chance at getting a 2-way, that's not guaranteed. So he could potentially make less next year as a pro than what he can make at Pitt. Guys like Hinson, you absolutely cant lose to a 2-way/G league.

He can make up to 500kish on a two way and may try to gamble on himself. He doesn’t need to be an nba starter on D. He needs to make some clutch threes and has the distance and consistency to do so to be valuable off the bench to a team. I’d rather have him in the clutch than Champ and every one was fluffing his bballs.

That was the amount for the Covid year (2020-21) since there wasnt a G-league, or it wasnt what it normally was. They dont make that much anymore. If he spends 45 days on an active roster, he will make around 250K and Pitt should be able to pay that.

Of course you just don't get it. All you care about is money. You are clueless about life. Grow up and start to all the intelligent posters who belittle you.

Of course their’s more to life than money , but if you think that his decision is based upon more than his ability to get a more lucrative deal you’re deluding yourself . If he was a consensus first round pick , but loved college life and removed his name from the draft I’d agree with you , but that’s not the case . He’s weighting his options and it’s not which classes to enroll in !
