HINSON RETURNING

Good. He's a scorer who can open up the court for offensive sets. If he can show that he can rebound more consonantly and not be a complete liability on D he might make money at the next level.

I'm very excited to see what Blake can do as the leader of this team. Last year, he was good, but he had 4 other seasoned vets to play with. In terms of being the leader, I always felt the Jamarious was the man. It seemed like whenever the team was down, Burton just put them on his back.

This year, Hinson is that man. I have a feeling he could have a special year. Can't wait for the season -- to see Hinson and these new guys build that team bond.

Leadership on any team is of utmost importance. Hoping that Blake can provide the kind of leadership that JB provided last year. Now it's Blake's turn to put the team on his back when we need that extra kick.

Probably some trolls. But most people aren't around 24/7 to post on this board like some of you are. It's just a message board. We all have lives outside of Pitt.
Some of us have to actually work during the day and can’t check this board after work.

GREAT NEWS!

It is critically important he came back for us to have a good year. That said, who will be our Jamarius this year?? Especially early on this past season, Burton just took games over. It's unlikely we have such a dominant guard this year. Dior could evolve into a pretty nice piece, but, he will lack experience. I think it is clear we will have to get more inside scoring this season and hopefully the twins will be draining more threes. We are going to have alot of scoring options this season, but will not have that go to guy, at least early on.

There’s no denying that his return was essential for Pitt to make another tournament run .

Hopefully we’ll see a fitter and quicker version of the player we saw last yr . Going through the evaluation process can only make him aware of the areas of his game that needs upgrading. No downside to that !

A better Blake will be a joy to watch !

Huge. Next colon clenching for me will be Dior....

Even if Dior were to transfer to Western Kentucky tomorrow, he would have to sit the year out I do believe since he didnt enter the portal in time. Not sure how if that applies to players if they are kicked off a team or something like that. Anyone know that rule?

I expect Dior to be the starting PG. He has a great role model in Capel and he has been at Pitt longer than any other place.

Big time news. Imo Hinson was key to this team making the tourney. His shot making speads the floor. I think you see an even better year this year.

For me his return = this team SHOULD make the NCAAT and if they dont, it will be a disappointment

I am excited, but still a lot will depend on chemistry. But in a brief head to head of rosters.

23 Hinson > 22 Hinson
23 Twins > 22 Twins
23 Fede > 22 Fede
Kante/Jeffress should be > Santos

The major question is can Dior/Austin/Leggett/Lowe/Carrington equal or exceed Cummings/Burton/Elliot/Sibande?

Do they get an impact transfer with the 13th ship?

Barnes=Redshirt/Wash with 2022 Roster

The key with the guards was Burton was gonna give you something great every game, but then Nelly, Nike or Burton could step up and do something every game and the others would play off of them. That is a unique brand of maturity that is hard to duplicate
