2nd half adjustments. Defense makes QB leave in a body bag only to have his coach pull a Franklin and let a concussed player return. Coach shows serious stones with the fake punt. Long final drive that eats tons of time. WIN. This year shaping up to be a special one...

Pitt would have lost this game by at least 2 TD's with Chryst at the helm this game.

Please, I don't need indigestion right now picturing that stone face of his.
Lol. It's great seeing the exact opposite of Narduzzi. Kneeling down and holding hands with all the players before the FG attempt. He's like a player that just happens to coach the team.

I still can't believe they let him play after that. He was completely knocked out for a moment. Miami sat their QB. Though they were down 100 points at the time.

Almost wonder if Kayaa was even that hurt. Don't blame them there. Any sign of any kind of injury, just not worth it when you're getting absolutely clobbered.

It's just scary when you see a kid completely knocked out, even if it is just a split second. Time seems to stand still when that happens, I've seen it many times. The stadium gets dead quiet.

when dungey got hurt that looked scary. he looked like he was starting the motion to get up for a split second then just went limp for about 2 seconds.

i dont think very highly of shafer putting him back in

I didn't even see the Kayaa hit, just heard about it. The kid from Syracuse though, I really thought that was going to be the case. Luckily, he got up and walked off on his own. Even if he has a concussion, the fact he walked off is an encouraging sign as he's clearly not paralyzed or something severe like that. Not to downplay concussions, but that plus the fact he returned, I really doubt they would jeopardize a kid's life over a football game, I think he's gonna be alright.

I'm sure with all the things they have in place these days that they took all the precautions. But I always thought the kid's health was more important than any football game. Of course, I only coached at the high school and junior high levels, so I'm sure college is different to most. Just not to me though.

Agreed. Maybe in the NFL, actually probably as teams clearly lie on injury reports, teams will risk player's safety. I really doubt it even at the D1 college level though. They're still student athletes and a lot of them either have no shot at playing professionally, or if they are they have no idea yet that they will one day. A lot of these kids just love to play football, but they're not going to risk further injury when something like that happens.
