The guy has made the tournament every year and has only lost 1 time in the first round of the tournament at OSU. You’d have to be an idiot to think everything you read on a message board is accurate. The chances of Ohio St firing Holtmann and hiring Pitino are less than 1%.

If history is any indication, they should pack lightly. Holtmanns’ record in March is poor. And playing in a first round game won’t cut it in Columbus. But it would in Pburgh.

Barely sneaking in the tourney and getting sent home the first weekend won't really cut it anywhere for very long.

I don't think it cut it at Pittsburgh either. Given where the program is at, sure, that level would be celebrated at Pitt for a short time. But if that's the ceiling, I don't think so.

I'm not judging or saying whether that's right or wrong. I just think that's the nature of the beast.
