Hornibrook to Fsu

Very odd choice by him, as most reports have him only providing depth as a backup to James Blackman. Would’ve thought he would land somewhere he was guaranteed to play.

Odd choice indeed, but they only have 2 scholarship QBs now so Hornibrook certainly will be able to compete.

Hmmm, competing to be a starter at FSU + weather + coed factor

OR

Starting at Kansas for a year...

Not a bad decision.

If he was truly competing I would agree, but it looks like he will start off as the decided #2. Given the reluctance Taggart showed last season to go to his backup when things went wrong there is the very real possibility Hornibrook will be sitting all season unless Blackman gets hurt.

He's a good back up for them. FSU's QB situation is a disaster at the moment.

If he wanted a guarantee to play he likely would need to drop down a level.

I don't picture Hornibrook as the type of QB to run the fact pased O that Willie Taggart like to run.

Am I missing something? Or is Taggart feeling so much heat that he's willing to try anyone at QB who has demonstrated the leadership skills that Hornibrook has?

What In the world happened to Florida states program that he’s even a small possibility of being their qb.
My thoughts exactly. It doesn't bode well for ACC football that our other supposed to be marquee program is taking him even as a backup. Clemson has been carrying this conference now for the better part of the last 5 years and it looks like it will be up to them to keep this conference relevant. Jimbo leaving seems to have taken some air out of that program and it may take some time for them to recover. I am with you though, taking Hornibrook is a sign things are not heading in the right direction in Tallahassee.

They have only 1 QB on the roster. They will likely take a 2nd transfer if it works out for them.

That’s an indictment of Taggart imo. You’d think with his recruiting ties to the state and the FSU brand that he’d at least have someone else waiting in the wings when he dumped Francois. It is inexcusable for a team like FSU to be in a situation where they only have one scholarship guy on the roster.

Eh. Maybe they want a guy like him to mimic conventional pro style QBs in practice for some of their opponents, and he just wants to get away from the near-arctic and finish up at a party school. Maybe he has a legit degree and doesn't see a realistic NFL career as his future. Qui knows.

"If i had only told Voytek to fall down THIS much closer to the center of the field in the Duke game, that field goal would have come from the center like it should, and not the right hash. What a retard I was! Luckily no body ever said a word to me about winning there. O The chancellor does needlepoint during the games! What pansies! Any way, for the play call, just hand off, like always. *burp* "
