Odd choice indeed, but they only have 2 scholarship QBs now so Hornibrook certainly will be able to compete.Very odd choice by him, as most reports have him only providing depth as a backup to James Blackman. Would’ve thought he would land somewhere he was guaranteed to play.
Ask and ye shall receive, just off the top of my head: Fayetteville State, in Fayetteville NC, Ferris State is in MI I believe.?? Fairmont state? Fresno state? Another FSU that I’ve never heard of?
Hmmm, competing to be a starter at FSU + weather + coed factor

Not a bad decision.

My thoughts exactly. It doesn't bode well for ACC football that our other supposed to be marquee program is taking him even as a backup. Clemson has been carrying this conference now for the better part of the last 5 years and it looks like it will be up to them to keep this conference relevant. Jimbo leaving seems to have taken some air out of that program and it may take some time for them to recover. I am with you though, taking Hornibrook is a sign things are not heading in the right direction in Tallahassee. What In the world happened to Florida states program that he’s even a small possibility of being their qb.
I don't picture Hornibrook as the type of QB to run the fact pased O that Willie Taggart like to run.
Am I missing something? Or is Taggart feeling so much heat that he's willing to try anyone at QB who has demonstrated the leadership skills that Hornibrook has?
That answers a lot. They have only 1 QB on the roster. They will likely take a 2nd transfer if it works out for them.

Eh. Maybe they want a guy like him to mimic conventional pro style QBs in practice for some of their opponents, and he just wants to get away from the near-arctic and finish up at a party school. Maybe he has a legit degree and doesn't see a realistic NFL career as his future. Qui knows.
