Cant sniff the field despite PSU WR core not being good. No shortage of Pitt legacies on PSU though. DJ Dinkins's son had a nice catch.

Can you give us an update on how those legacies panned out?How often does Pitt land a legacy, like once every 25 years? PSU probably get 3x the number of Pitt legacies. That's how you know it's over.
This. Can you give us an update on how those legacies panned out?

They get lost at PSU. Look at Petrishen. Not a legacy but rode the pine behind 5 stars and then came here and had a good couple seasons.
I dont think people realize the talent Franklin gets is right up there with Ohio State and others. Maybe not quite as good, but pretty close. These WPIAL kids are never going to play there but guys like Quinton Martin enjoy washing Allen and Singleton's balls.

There is a huge difference in recruiting top 15 vs top 3-5. It's the reason they don't beat elite teams. Penn State is a "Tier 2" program; Ohio State is not.
Franklin gets northeastern and some Midwestern and mid-Atlantic 4 stars. OSU, Bama, UGA get them from all over the place with heavy concentrations from the south and west. There's a difference, which is primarily the quality of high school football played in those states. It just means more to be a 4-5 star from Florida or Texas than it does Massachusetts or New Jersey. Every state has individual superstar talents that become elite in college, but I'm talking about the rank and file 4-5 star player. This was an off year for the SEC heavies, but ND had better hope it draws Texas and not OSU. There's a big talent differential with Texas as well but OSU is at another level. They get lost at PSU. There's a difference but its close. He gets anyone he wants in PA, NJ, MD, and VA. He is more regional, yes, but he gets just about all the best players from there. Is that as good as OSU's national all-star team? No. But its close.
The NFL Draft is the true indicator of talent. Ped St has a depth chart littered with NFL talent and 2 guys that will definitely go in the Top 15. Frankie is a good recruiter and puts together a good staff, but he’s the main reason they can’t beat a team with equal or near equal talent. Drew Allar was the reason PSU didn't win last night
Doesn't matter, they did not want to go to PITT.Can you give us an update on how those legacies panned out?
Of course it matters. If they didn’t perform well, then it doesn’t matter.Doesn't matter, they did not want to go to PITT.
