Since 1982 (33 years) Pitt has only registered 9 or more wins 4 times. We only registered 10 wins once over that span (2009 - Dave Wannstadt with Bill Stull and the win over Butch Davis and the UNC Tar Heels in the Meineke Car Care Bowl). So all the bemoaning about who we have or haven't beaten clearly overlooks that 9 or 10 wins for this program in particular is a rare event over the memory of probably a good number of the posters on Panther-lair. I was a student during the glory years of Dorsett and a grad student during the Marino era so I remember the good ol' days. They've been few and far between since. But to use an old sailing phrase: "Our sails are up and we're primed to catch a favorable wind!" The future looks bright. Hail Narduzzi, Gallagher and Barnes. H2P!
