I am completely done with Jeff Capel. I’m at the point where I’m way past the “he’s a good guy but…”. He doesn’t seem to be a great guy. He seems to be a stubborn, arrogant idiot who thinks he’s too good for the school and fanbase.
With that said, we don’t have all the info possible. Maybe he really is giving it his all and maybe he does care…
So given that he’ll be back next year, what could he do that you’d respect as a sign he’s really, truly trying?
For me, these 2 things would at least get me to support him next way either year. Note, I don’t expect them… but I’d respect them if he did them.
1.) Fire Jason Capel. I don’t care if he really is the problem or not. Get rid of him. There’s way too much smoke for him not to be somewhat of a problem. Fire him. You can give him some of your nice buyout money next year if you feel bad but it needs to be done IMO.
2.) Donate a large sum of money back to the program ($100k). He has no obligation to do this but it’s something Narduzzi has done and I just think with how much his allegiance to winning here seems to have been questioned, this would be something where he could put his money where his mouth is.
