put it up against Al Golden's pathetic offense. Unimaginative, no rhythm or tempo, ultra conservative play calling ( 3rd and 6 run play inside the Cinci 10 with Miami down 7 in the 4th????), predictable. They have an excellent young QB, a strong O line and good skill guys, yet they neutralize all of those weapons with play calling and predictability. In all phases--offense, defense, special teams--they show lack of effort, poor discipline and disorganization. In a word, they suck. Good for Cinci knocking The U's dicks in the dirt last night. Tommy Tuberville looks like Bill Belichik next to Golden.

Did anyone catch Al's pregame locker room rah-rah where he used the old military cliche "when the chips are down, fall back on your training"? His players were just like, whatever. What a chump.

This is his farewell tour for sure.

Totally agree, high school teams appear more organized on both sides of the ball.

I don't think he was ever the right fit there. They need a coach with an attitude to get the players they used to have and to coach aggressively. They don't need Joe Paterno, Jr. They need a coach who will let the players they get show of their athletic skills. Conservative is not want Miami needs nor wants. They need a Jimmy Johnson type to get them to have the chip on their shoulder. I think, for years, Miami shows up expecting to win because they are he "U". They aren't anymore. That "chip" is gone. No one is intimidated by them anymore.

I hated the way they played, but damn, they won a lot of games that way. If they are going to lose, at least they would like to go down swinging.

Start a poll on whether Golden will be at Heinz Field the day after Thanksgiving ...lol

Given how sloppy his team plays, I doubt he'd be the right fit anywhere.

Hard to disagree with what you said above. Add on the fact that Golden was our former AD's choice as a coach...and I'm convinced he likely is not a very good coach. Hail to Pitt!
