KenPom has them at 340 but their only loss is by one to Tenn Tech who lost at Georgia by 5 and Georgia just won at Ga Tech and is 65 (Ga Tech is 100). Seems like they are underrated by the computers.
Tennessee Tech also lost by 25 to Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Moral of the story, if we lose to VMI, pack up shop.KenPom has them at 340 but their only loss is by one to Tenn Tech who lost at Georgia by 5 and Georgia just won at Ga Tech and is 65 (Ga Tech is 100). Not worried at all about losing but having to beat them by 36 to maintain the kenpom rankingTennessee Tech also lost by 25 to Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Moral of the story, if we lose to VMI, pack up shop.
I think this is the 1st game of that Southern West Virginia Hotel Ballroom tournament that we are in so didn't schedule this game.

Yeah, each of the four teams in our portion of the Greenbrier also got a game against one of the four teams in this weekend’s portion of the Greenbrier, and VMI is ours.VMI's two games this weekend were also at the Ballroom, so this was almost certainly an assigned game rather than one we scheduled on our own.

It’s not great on the schedule and VMI is really bad, but at the same time as long as it’s noncompetitive I don’t think it really matters if we win by 25 or 35. Sure, beating the spread is better for the metrics, but I’m not really sure if that’s something that the #18 kenpom team really needs to worry a ton about on a game to game basis.
The greenbriar is farther south than Charlottesville and Louisville. Doesn’t seem like West Virginia should stretch that far south but it does
I know my post has nothing to do with vmi but where else can I talk about geography
The tour of the once secret bunker under the Greenbrier is fascinating. I highly recommend it to anyone going to the tournament there. The greenbriar is farther south than Charlottesville and Louisville. Doesn’t seem like West Virginia should stretch that far south but it does

You got your wish! 34 minutes combined from Beebah and Delalic; and JDG played at least 8 minutes; maybe morePitt favored by 32.5 over VMI this morning per ESPN. KenPom (Pitt # 19) ratings suggest it could be 37.5. Torvik (Pitt #32) suggests 38.5 and predicts a 94-56 Pitt win.
Pitt's BPI rating this AM is #27.
It would be nice if the bench could get minutes tonight. Would like to see Cummings and Delalic see increased time and Kante, J D-G more than "garbage minutes" and see the rest at least get garbage minutes.
For that to happen Pitt might need to have a 50 point lead mid-way through the 2nd half, I suppose, given the way the ratings systems are used now to consider the size of blowout win margins.
