Just sent this analysis to a domer friend:
“So here’s how I see game. On offense Pitt has absolutely no run game and our O line is questionable. QB is back up Yellen, transfer from USC, from the mean streets of Mission Viejo. Better passer than our regular starter, Pickett. Very nice touch. Prone to fumbles, however. Receivers are prone to drops, kids to watch are #3 Addison (true Frosh) and #7 Turner, transfer from Maryland.
On D, Pitt leads country in sacks. D line are men and all NFL first rounders. Secondary is very talented at safety (especially #12 Paris Ford) corners very good, but we play a press one on one at the corners. We can and do get beat and give up the big play.
Our FG kicker is money especially at longer distances. He gets a lot of chances because we are abysmal inside the red zone. Largely self inflicted due to procedure penalties.
Don’t know what happened with u guys against the’ville. We CRUSHED them.
Like I said, this will be low scoring match. ND held to two field goals even though busting some big plays.
Pitt 19 ND 6”
