How is Miami not ranked at all?

Sagarin's computer has them at #75, 9th in ACC in overall ratings. But, it also has them at #26, #2 in ACC in the recent games rating.

They must have played some real stinkers in early season losses!

Researched--Miami's 4 losses:

vs UCF 89-95 on 11/13
vs Dayton 60-76 on 11/25
vs Alabama 64-96 on 11/28
at FSU 64-65 on 01/11/22

Wow. Great research! Are you actually Jeff Sagarin himself?

None of those are 'bad' losses.

Let's face it the ACC stinks this year, but they only lost the ACC/BigTen challenge 8-6 and two of our losses were buzzer beaters (Pitt to Minn and UVA to Iowa). Is the ACC really only worthy of one ranked team and the BigTen five?

Yes those include some pretty bad losses!!

UCF is 3-3 in the AAC.
Bama is decent but they lost three in a row, and you shouldn't lose a game by 32 and expect to be ranked. The margin of loss there is a problem.
Dayton is looking like a more acceptable loss now, but at the time, Dayton were coming off a three game losing streak to UMass Lowell (not even the main Umass!), Lipscomb, and Austin Peay. Yikes

Florida State not remotely a bad loss, fair. Duke win, excellent.

Miami got into the "receiving votes"; with some consistency the rest of the way they should be able to be ranked. I wouldn't put any money on them in the NCAAs though they're a good turnaround story.

Actually, those first 3 losses are really bad losses.

Other than Duke, there isn't much on their resume. UNC is soft, and the Heels seem to get trounced be every good team they play. (even against some bad teams like Tennessee)
