Bo Pelini bitched about this two years ago and it fell of deaf ears because it was legal. Oh, two years ago was Franklin's first year as PSU head coach while Narduzzi coached MSU's defense. How could they not know clapping was coming? I hope Captain Clap is there for years, but I fear he's gone after next year.

He said he didn't know Canada's offense used so much motion and misdirection. Even though the tapes of Canada's offenses for years show it.

That is poor preparation. He has to be a Bozo to use as an excuse something that he should have been prepared for.

Noooo negative recruiting made his receiver run the wrong route... which would have won the game, not the fact that they severely lost the battle of the trenches... severely!

Just like it took Franklin a few years to get his offense rolling at PSU, it's gonna take Narduzzi a few years to get his D in place at Pitt. That said, I think PSU's O will grow and improve throughout the year. Nice young QB but being a RS SO is nice too because he's been around the program. A stud RB to carry the ball. And, I like the young talent at WR too. I look for them to score a lot on a bunch of teams in the B1G this season. UM and tOSU will be tough. But, I think this will be the most consistent PSU offense since O'Brian (sp?) had his first year there.

Yea. I'm concerned about our defense. I'm not convinced they can't be run on if a team has a good o line. But we shall see.

But that doesn't have anything to do with Franklin being a boob. This whole clapping thing is an absolute embarrassment on every level. He's in over his head.

Honestly, I'm just happy that we won.

And if you want to talk "worried", I'd be worried about the UPS defense - which was supposed to be the team's strong point. I looked out my front door today, and I saw Quadree Henderson running jet sweeps down my street, with UPS players trying to catch him.

if I were UPS I'd be more upset about the haymakers Duze landed on Franklin post-game. James from State College looked in one instance like an excuse-making whiner, and in another like he doesn't know things any coach should. I hope he stays there for at least the next three years. I know UPS fans have convinced themselves that they will be light years better next year, with every replacement being an upgrade, while Pitt's replacements will all be downgrades. All the more sweeter when Pitt takes it to them again next year.

Yes, when you don't know something you are clearly supposed to know, its best to keep your mouth shut and hope that no one discovers your ignorance.

Its shocking that he didn't know the rules..I mean really, he uses clapping as part of his offensive signals and he doesn't know if the defense is allowed to clap too. Wow. So desperate to have an excuse, he told the world about his extreme knowledge gap, hoping for some sympathy. PSU fans should be asking him "Why the hell didn't you know?"

And I knew that Canada used jet sweeps and pre-snap motion in his offense. How did I know this? I watched five minutes of NC State offense highlights on Youtube when he was hired. But Franklin was surprised. Again, wow.
