How Will Pitt Finish?

Hard to believe that they couldn't go at least 3-3 the rest of the way.
You'd think. Beat BC and UVA, neither of whom are very good. Then find a win against SMU, Louisville, Syracuse, or Clemson.

That's kind of what I was thinking but even 2-4 wouldn't be a disaster given where things were last year. Probably need ten wins to have a chance at the conference championship, you'd think.
8-4 is a great season for this roster/what the expectations were. Only thing I would worry about is the fact that 2-4 would almost seems like a significant collapse after starting 6-0. I wouldn't want that to create a souring that might cause players to transfer. Peak mentioned many of them currently playing at Pitt for an NIL discount.
Not predicting that; just something I hope doesn't play out. This Syracuse game is huge, in a good way.
I hope this season doesn't play out like the end of 2015 (Narduzzi's 1st year), but I can't help but think that 2024 Pitt team is like that team. We started 6-1, winning a lot of close games (plus the 1 loss was to a good Iowa team). That team was 2-3 in its last 5 regular season games. I'm hoping for 10+ wins but if I had to guess, I'd say 9 is most likely.
