Superstein 81 is curled up in his safe space.

As I've said, a blanket limit of 250 regardless of the venue is a bit ridiculous. It has to go by acreage or seating capacity. Hypothetically, if 2 schools laid out a football field on some flat farm land somewhere and put up portable bleachers like 50-100 yards away from the field, would that still count as 1 outdoor gathering? 250 at some tiny Class A stadium isnt the same as 250 at Heinz Field.

He didn't win his appeal you fool.
The court granted a temporary stay until they can rule on the appeal
And the PIAA has basically told schools to do what they and their solicitor are comfortable doing - so basically ignoring Wolf if they want

Go read the OP again and then whine about being political. LOL
Here is the original post in its entirety:

I must be slow....please enlighten me as to what is political about a court case dealing with gathering limits due to COVID and Sean Miller Fan’s idea on how to best implement the restrictions.

Regarding me “whining”...I think your 3rd grade level response more aptly fits that description.

Oh my goodness SMF - all that happened was the 3rd Circuit granted a STAY. He did not WIN his appeal.

Yikes.

Well, technically there were no legal crowd limitations last week. This week, they are back but of course HS football won't follow them but Pitt, Steelers, Temple, and Eagles will.

I think 2000 are allowed at the casino and that age group trends fairly high i would think

  • Casinos can reopen at 50% capacity.
That is directly from the PA website. So it all depends on square footage? I have heard from different sources that means 4K at Rivers.

Oh man, some Governor

What is so confusing about coming up with a number of people who can attend events outside based on size? Isn't that what they have been doing all along with indoor establishments which carries a far higher risk of transmission?

Is no one else concerned that THIS confuses him so much that he can't come up with a solution?

The president testing positive complicated everything
Well that would make sense if this just started in the last 24 hours.

There should be no conflation between that and the random, arbitrary decisions (and LACK of decisions) coming out of Harrisburg on a regular basis.

The stance he has taken to just ignore all the school districts (and college and pro teams) requests for guidance is made even worse hiding behind the "I'm working very hard on this and I know it's confusing" explanation. It's almost like he is baiting districts to defy his orders.

WHAT'S THE POINT

It really is a thankless job to keep idiots from killing themselves while trying to prevent those same idiots from harming others.

Maybe if he (Wolf) wasn't so hypocritical your point would hold more weight. But since he is a huge hypocrite, he can just f off. Plus there is this thing called liberty, we as Americans are supposed to embrace it. I find it more sad that so many are so willing to turn in their liberty for perceived safety.

In fact Ben Franklin famously said: "Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Lol. Guess you don't wear your seat belt either. Such an infringement of your liberty and all.

Actually I do wear a seat belt and I wear a mask, maintain social distance, and limit my time in public too. All of that by my own choice. I don't need the government to keep me safe, I can do that myself.

I need the government to keep my liberty safe, but that is at risk because too many liberal a-holes want to give it away at every turn whenever the next boogieman shows up.

One more thing. I noticed you didn't touch the fact that Wolf is a huge hypocrite. Yes it is so clear, that no one can defend him on it.

Yes, that was addressed. It's an impossible position given the political spin applied to a public health issue. Only an very mentally challenged or insecure person would fall for such nonsense that this is somehow an attack on their perceived liberties. Give me a break, that's laughable. Unfortunately, those same people seem to be the sames ones perpetuating the issues that are impacting everyone else.

No you did not addresse it. You will not call wolf's actions to his words hypocritical or not, because you know it is and don't want to admit it.

As for your other comments about being mentally challenged, are you serious? The mentally challenged is the ones who can't see that he is impacting liberty. Restaurant owners being forced to close their business is not an attack on their liberty? A gym owner being forced to close is not an attack on their liberty? Patrons of those establishments not given the choice between going or not going if owners wanted to stay open is not an attack of liberty?

Do you even understand what liberty is?

Of course you don't, your a liberal who thinks the government knows best and should handle all of life's troubles.

I agree but Wolf seems a little hard headed on this one. Instead of a hard number like 250 a percentage of capacity, say 30% or so, would make much more sense and would still seem safe to me. 250 in a venue that seats 5 or 10 or 65 thousand seams downright stupid to me.

The gathering limits ruled unconstitutional two weeks ago are back in place statewide, leaving some high school athletic directors to ask: Now what?

“It is confusing, I acknowledge that,” Gov. Tom Wolf said Friday, “and I’m working really hard and as quickly as I possibly can to come up with guidelines that I hope recognize the differences in different school districts.

“But, yeah, it’s confusing.”

The only reason its confusing is because he made it confusing and has refused to adapt based on venue. If it was a 15-20% percent capacity for outdoor locations from the start no one would be confused.
