It was signed in July and just recently announced. This would probably indicate he is safe this Spring but has to be really good next year or else.

He's only making 1.75 million/year as a base salary, which is pennies for a blue blood so that buyout will be much easier to eat next year. Even if everything is guaranteed, it would be less than $10 million to buy out the last 5 years in Spring 2026
